Music

Music rights must be secured for the life of the final product. Provide a copy of the music rights to your client and the video program manager. Be sure to include the following information:

  • Name of the music piece
  • Name of music rights owner who granted permission to use the music
  • How long permissions will last (usually six months or one year)
  • Required music attribution text requested by music rights owner (usually something like Music by: XYZ Studio “Silver Bells”
  • Name of person who secured the music rights

Stylistic note: Avoid the over use of melodramatic music.
